Concordia University President Robert Holst Announces Retirement
The Rev. Dr. Robert Holst has announced his intention to retire at the end of the 2010-2011 academic year. "I praise God for the opportunity to serve Christ in the mission of education in the context of the Christian Gospel here at Concordia," Holst said. Concordia's Board of Regents will meet on July 30 to begin the process leading to the selection of the next president.
Athletes to be Inducted in to Concordia’s Athletic Hall of Fame Concordia has announced the 2010 inductees for the Athletic Hall of Fame. The seven new Hall of Fame members include:
Renae (Brehmer) Fox ('92, women's basketball),
Dennis Hilken ('81, football/baseball/basketball),
Scott Hollingsworth ('99, baseball),
John Hunter ('80, football/baseball),
David Johnson ('98, baseball),
Roger Lind ('81, baseball/football) and
Howard Patten ('56 JC, basketball/track & field/golf). The Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony is Friday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Buenger Education Center with a social hour beginning at 6 p.m.

Alumna Selected as 2010 Agent of the YearSusan Suemnick-Brueggemeier (MA '06) has been selected as the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC)
2010 Agent of the Year. In 2006, she earned her Master's Degree from Concordia University, St. Paul while working full-time.
Anniversary Celebration for Dr. David Krause
The family of Rev. Dr. David Krause invite present and past faculty, students, and friends of Concordia to attend a celebration of ministry honoring the teaching, music, and pastoral ministry of former Concordia music professor, Rev. Todd Stocker Named Interim Campus Chaplain
The Rev. Todd Stocker will join Concordia as the campus chaplain for the 2010/11 academic year. Stocker previously served as pastor at Woodbury Lutheran, as a church planter in Arizona and Louisiana, and as chaplain at Lutheran High School in Houston, Texas.
Criminal Justice Department Forms New PartnershipConcordia’s Criminal Justice department signed a partnership agreement on May 20 with the Fraternal Order of Police South Metro Lodge #14. The partnership is designed to attract organization members by giving them priority admission status and a $2,000 scholarship for accelerated degree programs.
Alumnus Hosts Pilgrimage to the Holy LandRev. Paul Pfotenhauer ('54) and his wife Rhoda will host a Pilgrimage to the Holy Land: Israel, Palestine, Petra and Jordan.
