Dr. Sally Baas honored as Distinguished Alumnus at Wisconsin-River Falls
Dr. Sally Baas, director of Concordia University, St. Paul's Southeast Asian Teacher, Hmong Culture and Language, English as a Second Language and Special Education programs, was selected as this year's Distinguished Alumnus for the College of Education and Professional Studies at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She was honored at an award reception and program May 2.
Alumna Ellie Duffy recieves prestigious NSIC Kelly Award
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has announced Concordia University, St. Paul's Ellie Duffy ('13) as the 2013 Willis R. Kelly Scholar-Athlete Award recipient. The Kelly Scholar-Athlete Award, in its 28th year, is presented to the NSIC's top female student-athlete.
Marketing students had opportunity to present to Heineken executives
Four Concordia University marketing students had the opportunity to present a marketing plan to Heineken executives April 25 in New York City as part of the 2013 Collegiate Effie Heineken USA PSA Challenge. Concordia’s team was one of two finalists selected.

Hall of Famer Dave Winfield Receives Honorary Doctorate from Concordia
Concordia University, St. Paul honored Hall of Fame baseball player Dave Winfield with an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters during the 2013 Commencement ceremonies in May. Winfield also served as the speaker for the Friday, May 10 ceremony where traditional undergraduate students received their diplomas.
Graphic design professor John DuFresne joins Concordia's department of art and design
John DuFresne, a prominent local graphic design professor and professional, will join Concordia University, St. Paul as a full-time faculty member in its graphic design program. DuFresne brings 25 years of experience in the visual arts to Concordia, including building award-winning design programs at two previous academic institutions.
