Awards
The Alumni Association Awards Program gives Concordia the opportunity to recognize the excellence of its alumni.
The Alumni Distinguished Service Award and the Athletic Hall of Fame are given biennially opposite each other during our Homecoming Celebration.
Alumni Distinguished Service Award
Purpose: The Alumni Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding and exceptional professional achievement, such as to bring unusual honor to the individual in his or her field of endeavor. This award acknowledges alumni of Concordia University, St. Paul who have distinguished themselves in upholding the ideals of Concordia University in their profession and in service to the community and the church of Jesus Christ.
Eligibility: To be eligible for nomination, a person must:
- Be living alumnus/a of concordia University or Concordia academy (prior to 1972) when nominated; (An award may be given posthumously if the recipient was living when nominated.);
- Be an alumnus/a of at least 5 years;
- Have shown faithful and exceptional service to the church and/or community;
- Have shown contiued interest and support in concordia University and its mission;
- Have demonstrated leadership in his/her profession;
- Have recognition from professional peers;
- Have distinctiveness of performance.

Athletic Hall of Fame Purpose: The CSP Athletic Hall of Fame is established to pay tribute and give recognition to former athletic letter winners, coaches and others who have made exceptional contributions to the athletic programs of Concordia University, St. Paul (formerly Concordia College St. Paul).Eligibility: Membership shall consist of participants in varsity athletic programs, coaches and others.
Athletic Letter Membership
- One must have two athletic letters as documented in college records.
- A candidate must be a graduate of Concordia University, St. Paul.
- Considerations for selection shall be athletic achievements while at Concordia, academic achievements, extra-curricular activities, campus leadership and post graduate activities.
- There must be a (10) ten year time lapse since the candidate last participated in athletics at Concordia University, St. Paul.
- Alumni athletes, while serving on the Hall of Fame selection committee, may not be considered for induction
Coaches
- Considerations for selections are: 1) recognition as an authority/leader in the sport area involved, 2) ability to motivate players, and 3) length and quality of the coaching tenure. Five (5) years must elapse after active coaching tenure at Concordia University, St. Paul to be considered for induction.
- Coaches may not be considered for induction while serving on the Hall of Fame selection committee

Consideration for selection will be based on unique contributions to the Concordia University, St. Paul Athletic Program.
