It was a men’s athlete bible study which began to meet on Wednesday nights in the campus ministry center. It was a collection of a dozen guys who met with Pastor Coleman looking at how God could utilize us, young athletic men. I remember the fire, fire for Christ and life, that existed in that Bible Study. Every Wednesday, new insights into God’s word were shared, never from the same man. It was a group of men where I could see God touching every single life in a deep impactful way."
Deanna (Ressie) Sandcork '97 "The first time I attended chapel, I knew God had brought me to CSP. The comfort of God's word and the fellowship with other Christians immediately made me feel at home. Add to the wonderful Christian atmosphere crazy friends and tried and true traditions like the Walther boys' annual "Boxer Walk", Spring Fling, winter hot tubs, CIT adventures and small group Bible studies and it was the perfect college for me! Oh! And I met my husband Rocky there too! Awesome memories!"

Marissa (Holcomb) Austin '03 "CU used to participate in something called CIT (Concordia Invitational Tournament), a basketball tournament between regional Concordias. My freshman year, a young man who I did not know well, but did not much care for, asked if I was going and if I would sit by him on the bus. Even though I was not planning to go (as none of my other friends were attending), I did not want to hurt his feelings so I said yes. We had a blast! In June this year (2010), he and I will be celebrating our seventh wedding anniversary!"
Lisa Harfield '03 "I was a sophomore and it was the last year we were invited to the CIT (Concordia Invitational Tournament) for basketball. It was in Seward, NE and we were playing Concordia-Seward. A bus of amzing student fans came down for the trip. The atmosphere was better than any playoff game I had ever played in. Anyhow, our fans rolled in and filled half of the gym. When the other team was shooting free throws, every single Golden Bear fan held up a newspaper like they were reading it. It was clever and funny."

Midway through one course I was just married and on my homeymoon. Rather than asking the Professor for an extension, I chose to try to sneak off to the hotel lobby. Trust me - don't do that....you'll get caught!"
