Alissa (Kness, '05) is working as a Government Procurement Law Attorney at the General Services Administration in Washington, DC. She is also a reservist in the USAF JAG Corps. Previously, she served as an active duty USAF JAG and was stationed in Idaho, California, Virginia, and deployed to Afghanistan.

Rev. Russell Howen (Acad. '50, J.C. '52) observed his 60th year in ministry leading worship and preaching at Trinity Lutheran Church, Gardnerville, NV. Howen was ordained and installed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Morrill, Nebraska on July 21, 1957. Pastor Howen used the same text of First Corinthians 2:2 and theme "Nothing, But Christ" as he used in his initial sermon at Morrill.
